The client seeks a lawyer for legal advice. On the first meeting, the lawyer must provide a rough estimation of the chance of success of the claim, the estimated duration of the proceedings, the expected legal fees, and the level of risk incurred.
The lawyer must identify his client as it's not always clear who are the parties to the dispute. You can identify a french company through its RCS number: a unique number assigned to the company that does not change during the company lifetime, unless the company merges with another one.
There may be situations where the client is missing some critical documents for the case. The judge can order the seizure of the missing documents through a bailiff.
